We have developed an online database of prime and subcontractors. For a small fee, firms may register to be placed on the site. Listings include contact information, links to their company website, and an overview of the lines of business they are involved in. Javelin Associates offers the service of directly matching these companies –directly contacting prime contractors across New York State on behalf of our members.

Registration on RochesterSubcontracting.com’s Subcontractors Registry is one step in obtaining new business. The outline below highlights how Javelin assists firms in obtaining subcontracting opportunities through a series of activities:

Capabilities Assessment – Through a series of interviews with key staff, upper management, department heads, and key technical staff, we offer the opportunity to develop a comprehensive capabilities assessment. This will detail the lines of business your firm is currently involved in and feature those that have the best chance of being needed by prime contractors.

Certification Search and Fulfillment – In order for firms to conduct business with the federal government, companies must have the appropriate registrations with government registries – such as ProNet and Central Contracting Registry. Additionally, prime contractors sometime seek subcontractors that have obtained other certifications - such as Women-Owned Business, Veteran-Owned business, have an 8(a) certification or are located in a HUB Zone. Javelin Associates will determine which registrations are required and will conduct all activities involved in obtaining these registrations and certifications.

Document Development – Javelin will develop both electronic and paper documentation that will be distributed to prime contractors including, but not limited to, the following:

• Management Bios
• Business Overview, Facilities and Logistics
• Capabilities
• Track Record

Prime Contractor Identification –Javelin Associates, Inc. offers to identify prime contractors across the state and will contact these firms directly on behalf of our client. Promotional materials will be sent and meetings will be scheduled to bring prime contractors together with our clients. Javelin Associates staff will also be available to attend meetings scheduled with prime contractors and assist in the development of proposals.

Government Affairs – Javelin Associates, Inc. has specialized experience that is available to our clients. If a client requires assistance in obtaining government grants or loans to expand their facilities, hire and train additional workers, or has more specialized needs, Javelin can offer assistance to obtain the support they need. This can be of particular importance if a client requires additional facilities or significant workforce training in order to compete for, and carry out subcontracting opportunities.

Nondisclosure - All of the above will be conducted under a non-disclosure agreement between Javelin and our client. We understand that the information provided to Javelin is sensitive and should be confidential.
